The Legend
The pages in this part of the site provide details and background on Pine Bluffs and the surrounding area, including its history and inhabitants, a location map showing the area surrounding the railroad extracts from the Pine Bluffs newspaper, the Pine Bluffs Gazette, and a visual tour of the Pine bluffs Depot.
When we began Pine Bluffs we quickly developed a back story to the layout, including its history, to give a reason for why the line existed and why it looked the way it did. However having a back story for an exhibition layout is no good unless you can convey it to the public. This lead to the introduction of the Pine Bluffs Gazette, extracts of which are positioned near the things they refer to on the layout. We also display a location map to put the layout in its imaginery context.
This section of the site brings all this together in one area.
