Danger: Men at Work
The section are probably the most active part of the Alton Model Railway Group, and something is always being done for the layout on Group nights and by the members at home. Whether it be planning new modules, repairing existing ones, or preparing stock, we are a busy bunch.
Ongoing work
We are currently completing a program of refurbishment and improvements to the Pine Bluffs Depot module while we plan and construct our future modules. Work includes:
Refurbishing the existing modules
Completion of new fiddle yard board
New 'Pine Bluffs' liveried stock
This is keeping us busy, but is also preparing the existing components for the planned addition of further modules.
New modules
Work on the new modules is continuing apace, with all but one of the ten new boards now built. Our current focus is on completing the four board 'Clarksville Yard' storage area. We are currently laying the track on this section.
