Section Members

The members of the American Section of the Alton Model Railway Group are currently seven members strong, with modelling interests stretching right across the North American continent.

The members

Allan 'Trucker' Rose
Allan joined the section not long after Mike, and is quite new to American Railroading. Allan models HO Santa Fe and HO trucking, leading to his nickname.

Mike 'Moose' Stent
Mike joined the section in 1999, and has now become the section electrician, despite never wiring a layout before. Mike's main interest is HO Canadian, which leads to some rather lost looking trains on the section's Colorado-based layout. Mike is currently the section rep and co-organiser of the Alton Limited.

Roger 'Wrecker' Joel
Roger has been with the section from the start, and has been planning an HO American lumber mill layout even longer. Roger has somewhat of a reputation as a demolition expert - if anything needs adjusting, he is in with the hammer and chistle before you can stop him. Roger is currently the Secretary of AMRG and co-organiser of the Alton Limited, and was one of the original members of the Group.

Paul 'Sparks' Joel
Paul has been with the section from the start, and has the somewhat dubious honour of being the first Junior member of AMRG. Paul has two American interests currently - HO, with a Colorado/Logging bent, and On30 (also Colorado and Logging) and is currently designing an On30 exhibition layout.
