The layout is either operated as BR(w) or as a preserved railway based on what is now the terminus of the branch line that once operated from Bewdley to Hartlebury.
The Station is located on the outskirts of Stourport on Severn and follows the destinctive GWR name style by adding the work Road at the end of the nearest inhabitance. The station is a single main platform with a bay siding and cattle dock, there is a locomotive shed and wagon repair shed.
Majority of traffic is goods to and from local farms but also small infrequent passenger services run. The GWR in their infinite wisdom overcame the space constraints of the site by relocating and rebuilding the “sector plate” which served the bay platforms at Birmingham Snow hill until the 1920s.
